With a growing demand for secure Hard Disc Drive (HDD) product destruction, Industrial Shredding Systems Limited has increased its product portfolio to come up with new and creative cost-effective solutions to help cover this need.

MAXXeGUARD The increased activity is due to the rising concern for enhanced secure destruction of computer (HDD’s). When disposing of personal data, a company must ensure it complies with certain obligations under the seventh principal of the Data Protection Act, which states that when appointing a person or company as the Data Processor, the Data Controller must seek guarantees, regarding their technical and organisational measures against unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data against accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal data.

The MAXXeGUARD is a New Technology to meet these demands and so much so that Industrial Shredding Systems Ltd have supplied the Lloyds Banking Group plc, who have just taken delivery of their first MAXXeGUARD, for secure, at source destruction of all the surplus or obsolete HDD’s generated by the group. Following the acquisition of HBOS plc, on the 19 January 2009, Lloyds Banking Group plc became the largest retail bank in the UK with a number of leading market positions. One in three people bank with Lloyds.

The MAXXeGUARD will disintegrate all data bearing media and devices and will disintegrate hard discs, tapes (backup, CCTV, Surveillance, and Audio), mobile phones, PDAs, CDs, and DVDs down to 1mm if required. It is virtually SILENT and only uses a standard 240V power source. It is totally mobile and is easily transportable. It will fit in most lifts for deployment into office buildings allowing personnel to shred a disc at source, even if you are on the 26th floor !!!
